Researchers from Norway are using local resources, waste streams to improve cultivated meat processes.
Two Norwegian research institutions are working together to grow thicker cuts of cultivated meat using abundant regional resources, like seaweed.
Led by senior research scientist Hanna Haslene-Hox of SINTEF, the largest independent research organization in Scandinavia, the group is developing scaffolding beads to increase cell density as well as animal-free growth media.
