Ashdod, Israel-based food-tech startup Forsea Foods, Ltd., has developed a process of cultivating seafood using its patented organoid technology and plans to cultivate eel meat.
Previously used in developmental biology and medicine, organoids are stem cell-derived, three-dimensional tissue structures. When used as part of a cultivated meat process, the tissues require only minimal growth factors.
