Medical tech can advance cultivated meat

Healthcare technology can move cultivated meat from lab- to industrial-scale, say German researchers.

Medical researchers based in Germany believe that techniques developed in support of biomedical applications could be leveraged to accelerate cultivated meat production.

Called biofabrication, the methods used by biomedical researchers include bioprinting as well as bioassembly, which uses robotics to assemble cells into the desired shape.
