Two Spanish food-tech companies collaborate on 3D-printed plant-based bacon.
Foodys, a food-tech firm, and Cocuus, an ag equipment engineering firm, have launched bio-printed plant-based bacon, which is now available Carrefour stores throughout Spain.
The product is free from soy, preservatives and added sugars. A serving has half the fat of its conventional counterpart, according to Foodys, though it retails for the same price as conventional bacon.
