Trends indicate that the alt-meat sector may be misreading the "T" in its SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis. Its keenest competition for the consumer's share of wallet seems to be not meat at all, but vegetables — cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, greens, mushrooms (counted as vegetables for dietary purposes).
