Impossible rolls out in Connecticut schools
Middletown Public Schools — a Connecticut-based district that feeds nearly 5,000 students each day — has added Impossible burgers on the lunch line. The decision came after a taste test with students from the district's high school. According to reporting by the local NBC affiliate, 75% of tasters preferred the Impossible burger, and most couldn't tell the difference between the Impossible burger and a traditional burger.
Next Meats, Dr. Foods and ImpacFat ink agreement
Tokyo-based alternative meat venture company Next Meats Holdings Inc., Tokyo-based food-tech venture Dr. Foods, Inc. (a spinoff of Next Meats) and Singapore-based cultivated fat firm ImpacFat Pte. Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the advancement of alternative protein products in both Japan and Singapore. According to a news release, the companies’ combined expertise will propel the speedy development of Next Meats' next generation of products, such as Next Fish.
Sensible Hot Dogs listed on NEO Exchange
Plant-based hot dog company Sensible Meats Inc. has received final approval to list its common shares on Canada’s NEO Exchange and is trading under the symbol "HOTD."
