Food Frontier's review doesn't reflect well on the hometown team.
Australia is dead last in a comparison of government support for alternatives proteins in 10 countries, as calculated by North Melbourne, Aus.-based Food Frontier, an alternative protein think tank.
In a new report, Food Frontier noted that its "government support for alternative proteins scorecard" put Australia behind Singapore, Israel, the US and Canada, among others.
