Morningstar Farms at 50

Fifty years ago, Morningstar Farms appeared in the then-vegetarian category of grocery store freezer cases. Its message: Breakfast can be just as tasty and satisfying as ever with sausage made from plants, not pork.

Since then, the category has reinvented itself many times over, as money and attention have ebbed and flowed, and it has grown to include Beyond Meat, Impossible Foods and untold additional plant-based brands.
