Iowa Governor signs alt-meat labeling bill

Alt-meat labeling bill will become law, requiring clear labels on alt-meat packaging, restricting access.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds on Wednesday signed into law a bill requiring alt-meat companies to feature prominent labeling that makes clear the product is not conventional meat. The new law also prohibits cultivated meat products from being used in school lunches or paid for with food assistance program money.
