ALDI SÜD pledges to expand plant-based products

German retailer to create own plant-based brand.

In a new report, German grocer ALDI SÜD promised to boost the scope and number of house-brand plant-based foods to more than 1,000 items. Creating a store brand of plant-based “alternative products” is a top priority within that initiative, the company said.
