Cultivated seafood firm commits to UK launch, credits favorable regulatory environment.
Singapore cultivated meat startup Umami Bioworks on Wednesday announced it has launched operations in the UK.
The announcement comes just one day after the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology established the Regulatory Innovation Office and granted £1.6m to the Food Standards Agency aimed at speeding regulatory approval for cultivated meat.
