Burgers accounted for nearly 50% of the alt-meat product sales in Spain.
A new report from the Good Food Institute Europe found that, despite inflation affecting the food sector, Circana data show sales of plant-based food (including both alt-meat and -dairy) reached €451 million (US$484 million) in Spain in 2023, up 7.5% in value and 6.4% in volume between 2022 and 2023, according to a news release.
