The Good Food Institute has released State of the Industry reports on the cultivation, fermentation, plant-based and alternative seafood sectors. In its summary of the reports, GFI says, “like 2019 and 2020 before it, 2021 was the most active year yet for growth in the alternative protein industry, and many signs indicate that the world is on the cusp of a global race for alternative protein innovation.”
